ABOUT KUNDA KIDS:
Kunda Kids is a children’s publishing and media production studio with a single purpose: to inspire the next generation with fun content about African history and culture. We produce children’s books, animations, music and digital products for children, aimed at parents, teachers and educators.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be the voice of Kunda Kids across our digital and branded touchpoints (social media, website, and online communities)
Manage and execute product marketing and social media activity across our main digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Amazon)
Manage and drive optimised SEO and Google APIs and Ad campaigns, plus other third parties to ensure effective use of budget and output
Develop ‘fit for digital’ copy and material, working closely alongside our in-house graphic designer and associate editor.
Provide analytical reporting on performance, followed up with strategic recommendations
Conduct research and feedback on competitor and customer insights
Update senior stakeholders (Co-founders) with strategic recommendations for growth and improvement.
Essential skills. You’ll be:
Creative, strategic and goal-oriented
Experienced (minimum 5 years) in digital marketing, SEO, social media and brand marketing
Good knowledge of e-commerce, particularly Amazon and Squarespace
Confident with digital analytical tools and reporting software/platforms.
Able to communicate effectively and openly with the team, sharing frequent updates on
our internal team’s channel
Excellent project management skills, attention to detail and reliability
At ease with Adobe creative suite, particularly photoshop and indesign (desirable)
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE:
This is a full-time role that falls within the Marketing and Business Development team. You will be required to work remotely and in liaison with creative team members and distribution partners like other publishers, PR agencies, bookstores and distributors.
